No Time to be Lukewarm
Life is too short. Just as the past 18 years of my life have passed in the blink of an eye, I know the next 30 to 50 years will too (assuming I even live that long). "For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes." (James 4:14). There's no time for "later", no time to be lukewarm. Our days are so much more limited than we think.
Nothing can come out of being lukewarm, a state of mental laziness. The people who were able to get anywhere in life were those who were passionate, they were the people who had a drive and were willing to throw themselves into hard work for it. Whether it be for a belief, a profession, a serious hobby, or even a goal that has yet to be achieved. If you love God, love him with all your heart; and if you hate sin, hate it with all your soul. If there's ever a time to be aggressive and determined, it's now.
If we keep living as though we'll never die, then we'll one day die as though we've never lived.
